| My love of afternoon tea began many years ago when my parents took my sister and me to tea at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. My interest in tea continued to grow as I traveled throughout the world visiting tea rooms and collecting tea items. Once I decided to open a tea room, my collecting of tea related items intensified. My search still continues today, as all of the tea cups, china, flatware, and antique pieces I find are used in the tea room.
My vision for Chantilly was to create a charming and vintage atmosphere where guests experience pleasurable moments surrounded by wonderful gifts displayed among antiques, and also learn about the ritual of afternoon tea. What I enjoy most about afternoon tea is the elegance and soothing of the soul that accompanies this delightful ritual. I enjoy providing a place where people discover the joys of tea and feel calmed and refreshed.
